Back in "The Day", I used to do these things as a "what the hell has Bill been up to?" kind of thing. I had a lot of friends from back in that day's Day that I might only get to see a couple of times a year and wanted to keep in touch. Over time, of course, the Internet would kill all that. The time spent writing to someone no longer had all this padding around it and made keeping in touch all the easier. At the end of 2000, I'd all but given up on the whole thing when good ol' Roy, who damned well knows what I've been up to, kept badgering me: "dude, you gonna do a year-end update this year?" So, for Roy, if nobody else... [BACK]
